Pictures are little widgets of time that we'll never get back. Ways to express thoughts that no one else can completely comprehend. A way of speaking that doesn't require straining your voice. And a way of crying so that no one knows you are. So Jude takes pictures for all these reasons. It's his secret way of expressing himself.
music
Like photography, music is a way of expressing himself. He can play the guitar, but he mostly plays alone. He thinks that there's no way he'd make it in the music industry, so why try? He loves the classics - The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Fleetwood Mac... and some current bands as well- Death Cab for Cutie, Secondhand Serenade...

The dark sky is like a blanket... covering Heaven up and keeping it's inhabitants safe and warm. And all blankets have a hole or two. That's what stars are. The holes of the blanket-y night sky...shining down on us. Shedding a little light in our dark lives. That's Jude's view of things... and that's exactly why he likes to stargaze.

Family:
All the blood-related family he once had are now dead. However, he does have an adoptive family. A father named Jordan and a mother named Ryu, who are a young a gay couple. (Yes. Ryu's a guy and the mother.) Then, Jude has an adoptive little brother named Caden, who's about 13 years old. They met through a terrible incident you will read about in Jude's history.

History:
July 21, 2005
The day that the world ended. Or so it seemed. On this fateful night, a man whose name is still unknown to Jude came to his home and slaughtered his parents and his younger sister. The man took him away from the dying bodies of his family, before he was able to comprehend what exactly had happened. Jude was presented before a man named Jason "Jay" Skyes and was told that he was this man's gift. A prize. That he was owned. And though he obeyed orders and kept quiet when Jay told him to, it was when Jay raped him that he would scream his lungs out. He would scream words he didn't even know he knew. The punishment for his actions was the same every time. But to keep it fun, I won't tell you what that punishment was.

A boy named Caden ("Cade") joined Jude. His family met a similar end, but for different reasons.
July 23, 2008
When hope came and his life was reborn. A man named Jordan (who was assisted by another man named Shawn) rescued Cade and Jude from Jay's clutches. And thought Jay continues to search for them, the two feel very safe in the warm household of Jordan Van Alan. The man they now call "father".
